Into the Wilderness: an alternative Project Based learning package
For students in Div. 8 and 11 who are not attending Horne Lake Camping, there are a series of assignments that will be due Monday, June 18th.
The Package is fully printable, however students are not required to use the printed documents if they don't have access to a printer they can recreate each page on lined or plain paper.
Supplies needed: Lined and plain paper, pencil and pencil crayons internet access of if at school a chrome book.
Instructions:
1) Open the PDF titled: Into the Wilderness
2) Work through each page, following the directions on the page
3) research the following pages: the Animals that you would find, and the landforms around you
4) create the map following the instructions and checklist included.
5) Open the PDF marked Journal starters and choose 4 - 5 journal starters and write a Journal entry for each one. Write the Journal entry from the POINT OF VIEW (perspective) of yourself, if you were dropped into the wilderness.
6) open the PDFs of the extra reading assignments and read the articles on John Muir and Ansel Adams, answer the questions attached at the end.
7) Hand in completed packages on June 18th, 2018
